Cinnamon hot chocolate mix recipe

Cinnamon hot chocolate mix

When children left for college, they each insisted on taking a large container of this cinnamon-y cocoa mix with them to the dorm. For rich results, all they need to do is add hot milk, stir and enjoy

Ingredients (4 Servings):

  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 200g milk chocolate, finely chopped
  • Mini vanilla marshmallows, to serve

Method of preparation:
Place milk and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring, for 10 minutes or until almost simmering (don't boil). Cover. Set aside for 10 minutes to let flavours develop.
Remove cinnamon. Return pan to medium-low heat. Cook, stirring, for 4 to 5 minutes or until hot (don't boil). Add chocolate. Whisk until melted. Pour into warmed heatproof glasses. Top with marshmallows. Serve.

Notes: Don't add too much cinnamon, it will taste horrible.
